Leadership You Know. Experience You Can Trust.

I began my law enforcement career with the Crowley County Sheriff's Office in December 2003. While my career started here, it did not remain in one place. Over the years, I made the decision to step away at different times to gain valuable experience in other areas of law enforcement. Those opportunities allowed me to broaden my skill set, strengthen my leadership abilities, and bring back knowledge that benefits the community I call home. Every step of my journey has been intentional; to grow, to learn, and to better prepare myself to serve at a higher level.

During my time with the Sheriff’s Office, I proudly served in many roles. I was promoted to Corporal and later to Sergeant, where I had the opportunity to lead and mentor deputies. I oversaw the Click It or Ticket grant program, served as a Taser instructor, and managed the Colorado POST training requirements database. I coordinated deputy training to ensure annual POST standards were met and handled shift scheduling to ensure all positions were properly staffed.

In 2016, I was honored to be named Deputy of the Year by the Crowley County Sheriff's Office. That recognition was especially meaningful because it reflected the trust and confidence of the agency I was proud to serve. Leadership is not something that can simply be claimed, it must be earned through responsibility, accountability, and consistent performance. Throughout my career, I was entrusted with supervisory roles, given opportunities to mentor others, and recognized for leading with integrity and dedication.

Many have asked why I am choosing to run now. The answer is rooted in respect. Throughout my career, I had the privilege of serving under strong leaders who were not only sheriffs, but mentors. I never wanted to run against those who guided me and helped shape me into the law enforcement professional I am today. Loyalty and respect matter to me. Now, with that chapter closed, I believe the time is right to step forward and offer my experience, leadership, and vision for the future of Crowley County.

Most importantly, my commitment has always been to the people. Even though I do not currently work for the Sheriff’s Office, I continue to speak with residents regularly, listening to their questions, concerns, and ideas. I do my best to provide answers and insight based on my knowledge and experience, and when I don’t have an answer, I help point people in the right direction.

If elected, one of my priorities will be meeting with every mayor and city council representing Sugar City, Ordway, the Town of Crowley, and Olney Springs. Strong communication and collaboration between law enforcement and local leadership are essential to building trust and keeping our communities safe.

Every resident of Crowley County, and every visitor, deserves professional, dependable, and respectful law enforcement services. I understand that some towns within our county face financial challenges. However, financial limitations should never determine the level of protection and representation our communities receive. Every town matters. Every person matters.

Strengthening relationships, increasing transparency, and keeping public safety the top priority are essential to a safe and secure Crowley County.
